While Hugh Jackman has donned his Wolverine costume again to make his arrival in the MCU alongside Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine, Marvel has just offered fans of the famous mutant the chance to see him again in a disconcerting video, to say the least.
Deadpool and Wolverine soon to return in Avengers: Doomsday?
It was last July that Deadpool fans saw the Mercenary again in Big Mouth alongside Wolverine who took their first steps in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, was a box office smash, grossing over $1.3 billion. What does Marvel Studios have in store for them? Will audiences ever see the duo back on the big screen? For now, it's impossible to say.
What we do know is that Marvel is actively working on developing Avengers: Doomsday. Recently, the studio revealed a large part of the cast for this next Avengers adventure led by Anthony and Joe Russo. Among the names revealed is Channing Tatum, who appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine as Gambit. Could this mean that if he's back in Doomsday, the Mercenary and the mutant are also in the game? Nothing is certain.
Destress by watching Wolverine breathe for over 8 hours
To announce the casting of Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel opted for a live announcement on social media. The video broadcast live from the set lasted 5 hours and 30 minutes. If you thought Marvel wouldn't be able to beat this record, you'd be wrong! Indeed, the studio has just released an 8-hour-and-36-minute video featuring Hugh Jackman in Wolverine costume. The actor, facing the camera, breathes it all out to intense music. At the time of writing, the video has been viewed more than 231,000 times on YouTube.
The goal of this performance? To allow fans to relax while listening to Wolverine's raspy breathing. Indeed, as Marvel states in the video description, April is "National Stress Awareness Month, so take a deep breath and feel your adamantium bones melt."
And if you watch until 51 minutes and 31 seconds, Hugh Jackman has a surprise in store for comic book fans by recreating the cover of Wolverine #1 published in 1982.
