The boisterous London-based brand Nothing, very focused on design, also has a brand aimed at the entry-level, CMF. While the latter retains Nothing's strong design focus, it does so by abandoning transparency and opting for bold blocks of color and visible screws. Its latest release is called the CMF Phone 2 Pro. It is accompanied by the launch of new earphones. Let's take a look at the owner together.

CMF Phone 2 Pro: pop colors and decent specs

The CMF Phone 2 Pro pays attention to design, as we've said, and this is also reflected in the weight of the smartphone, which peaks at Weighing only 185g, the smartphone showcases pop colors (white, black, orange, and light green). The green and black colors also feature a superior finish with a glass back that mimics frosted glass and a metal frame. The other colors are covered in plastic. Metal is featured in small details, with stainless steel screws and aluminum camera module surrounds.

Despite its decidedly entry-level price, the CMF Phone 2 Pro boasts ambitious specs, to say the least. Let's take a look at the camera first, since it includes a telephoto lens, which is extremely rare for an entry-level phone. It is accompanied by a 50 Mpx main sensor (wide angle) and an ultra wide angle with 8 Mpx sensor.

For the rest, the technical sheet is more classic, but just as effective on paper. We have a 6.77-inch FHD+ OLED screen operating at 120 Hz, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G chip engraved in 4 nm and a comfortable 5000 mAh battery.

CMF Buds 2

In addition to a new smartphone, CMF is launching three wireless earphones: the Buds 2, Buds 2 Plus and Buds 2a. We have At this stage, there is little information about them, except that the Buds 2 Plus are the most equipped with an LDAC system and 48 dB active noise reduction. The Buds 2 models lose the LDAC but retain the Spatial Audio effect. Finally, the Buds 2a provide entry-level coverage with 42 dB active noise reduction.

Price and Availability

The Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro is sold for 249 euros in its base configuration (8 GB of RAM and 249 GB of storage). Pre-orders begin this April 28th and run until May 6th, the date of the start of marketing.

As for the price of the earphones, here they are:

  • CMF Buds 2: 49.95 euros;
  • CMF Buds 2 Plus: 59.95 euros;
  • CMF Buds 2a: 39.95 euros.
