In the absence of a showcase on future PS5 games, PlayStation continues to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a major event that should provide a great evening for all participants. At the end of the month, on April 30, 2025, Sony Interactive Entertainment will take over the Accor Arena in Paris, formerly Bercy, for a live experience dedicated to some of its biggest licenses, including The Last of Us, God of War, Horizon, Uncharted, and Ghost of Tsushima.
The PlayStation concert threatened in several countries?
"Thanks to innovative technology and top-notch production, fans will experience a masterful blend of visuals and immersive surround sound, all enhanced by an orchestra combining classical and modern instruments" teased Sid Human about PlayStation The Concert.
If you're used to listening to video game OSTs on repeat, and you particularly like those from PlayStation productions, this seems like a must-see. A tour of more than 200 dates in across the world which will therefore pass through Paris on April 30, 2025, with a make-up session on May 2, 2025 in Amnéville, at least on paper because this big event expected has problems.
Internet users from different countries have reported have received emails notifying them of a very long postponement until 2026 or even an outright cancellation of the PlayStation concert. What's going on? For now, only "unforeseen circumstances" seem to have been cited. Obviously, it's impossible to know for sure, but it's possible that some dates haven't yet sold out and have been canceled. Could French fans soon be affected by such a change and is the concert in danger in France? This cannot be ruled out, even though the PlayStation community in France is one of the largest. At the time of writing these lines, there are in any case places remaining and no cancellations have been announced.
