Star Wars Eclipse Victim of a Big Leak and It's Clearly Making You Want It

Since its announcement at The Game Awards 2021, Star Wars: Eclipse has been as intriguing as it has been discreet. But today, thanks to an unexpected leak, we finally get a first glimpse of the characters who could populate this new universe.

An ambitious... but mysterious project for Star Wars Eclipse

We recently learned that the game Star Wars Eclipse had been spared from NetEase's restructuring, but other than that, it's been radio silence. The studio has shown almost nothing. This isn't so surprising, as the game was unveiled very early in its development. However, some news has cast doubt. Despite everything, according to several sources, the game is still planned for 2026. Enough to keep hope alive!

While waiting for official news, a leak has just revealed several concept arts of the game.
These images come from a former artist who briefly worked on the project. In total, thirteen visuals show various characters. We find well-known species like the Zenezians, the Rodians and even the famous Gungans, yes, the race of Jar Jar Binks!

We also discover smugglers, each with their own distinctive clothing style. The designs exude authenticity and further enrich the diversity of this universe. Two characters stand out from the crowd: "Travis" and "Jotraaaz Kammzzzek". Their proper names, rather than simply a species designation, suggest that they could play an important role in the story.

A plot still unclear

For now, the plot of Star Wars: Eclipse remains largely secret. The game will reportedly follow a heroine named Sarah, from a brand new empire: the Zaraan. A humanoid race completely new to the Star Wars universe. Quantic Dream therefore seems to want to enrich the saga by introducing new cultures, while respecting its mythological foundations.

Officially, Star Wars: Eclipse is targeting a 2026 release. But let's be realistic: in the video game industry, delays are common, especially on such ambitious projects. It wouldn't be surprising if the date slipped to 2027.
Until then, we can hope for some news by the end of the year. Maybe a new teaser or even a more complete presentation?
