In 2025, RPGs are all the rage. Kingdom Come Deliverance II, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Avowed, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, the RPGs keep coming and continue to seduce. And for fans of the genre, a cooperative RPG from the past Under the Radars is released this Tuesday, April 29, 2025 on Steam.
A cooperative RPG released today on PC
The years go by and the RPG does not lose popularity. And while a good portion of players are enjoying the excellent Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developed by the talents at Sandfall Interactive, others are already thinking about the sequel. And the next game could well be a certain Eydigard. This cooperative RPG, inspired from Scandinavian and Sámi folklore, invites you to play as a shapeshifting adventurer to reconquer lands infected by a plague, while managing clan rivalries. And of course, each choice influences your journey and the world around you.
Developed by Frostisen Studio, Eydigard arrives in Early Access this Tuesday, April 29, 2025 on Steam. On the menu:
- Strategic Metamorphosis: Switch between human and animal form to fight, explore, and solve puzzles.
- Enemies from Folklore:Face mythical Norse and Sámi creatures.
- Cooperative Multiplayer (1-6 players):Play with friends or alone in a dynamic world influenced by by your choices.
- Farm Restoration and Improvement: Purify haunted farms and transform them into prosperous bases.
Head to the fjords of northern Norway in the early 16th century, in a game where you can transform into various animals, each with unique abilities. Use the stealth of the lynx to sneak up on your enemies or use the strength of the bear to slaughter them, it's up to you to choose the animal that best suits your your situation. Well-known creatures from tales like trolls, hulders, and vettirs make up the bestiary.
And the world of Eydigard can be explored with others. Although a solo experience is planned, the game is designed to be cooperative.Combine metamorphosis abilities to take on challenges and thus break through uncover the mysteries that surround you. After a Playtest session, Eydigard is officially released in Early Access. It remains to be seen whether the feedback will be good. In any case, the developers are already in the game, and are sharing their gameplay on Steam, directly via the game page.
