The big concerns of weather forecasts on the pixel

Weird bugs are part of Pixel phones' DNA. Some are temporary, others more persistent. The latest? A weather forecast that won't keep up. Several users, particularly on the Google and Reddit forums, are complaining about a weather forecast that no longer updates. day on the lock screen and the "Featured" widget.

Weather stuck in the past

The bug is rather strange: the location is correct, but the weather information remains stuck on yesterday's forecast. In the morning, the phone displays yesterday's weather as today's. In the evening, today's weather is mistaken for tomorrow's. And meanwhile, the Pixel Weather app provides the correct information. In short, a real mess.

One user sums up the situation well: "It displays the weather for the right place, but in the morning, it shows yesterday's forecast as if it were today's temperature, and in the evening, it displays today's weather as if it were tomorrow's." Result: poorly chosen clothes. We've seen worse problems, of course, but if we can no longer rely on our smartphone...

According to the feedback, the problem could be Almost all Pixel models, from 7 to 9, and all recent versions of Android (13, 14 and even 15). In other words, it's not a question of the phone or the software version: the problem comes from elsewhere. According to observers, it would be a bug on the server side, therefore at Google. No need to restart your phone to hope to fix things.

Another intriguing coincidence: this weather synchronization problem appeared right at the time when Google added a floating button to the weather app. And that's not all, the interactive weather map, which displayed six-hour rainfall, has disappeared from the app. Again, it seems to be a server-side update that is responsible.

For now, Google has not officially responded. No fix has been announced. In the meantime, users must simply open the weather app manually, or use a third-party application. Not very practical, especially when you've gotten used to... Take a quick look at the widget before you go.

But hey, Pixel users are starting to get used to it. After alarms not ringing and weather maps disappearing, this bug adds to a long list of slightly wonky "Pixel experiences."
