The world premiere of the film Thunderbolts* took place last night in London. As expected, a wave of reactions quickly swept across social media from the audience members present. Of course, they didn't just share their opinions; they also revealed the film's two post-credits scenes. We read what was going on, and it's totally crazy.
Thunderbolts*: Mainly Positive Feedback
Let's be honest: Thunderbolts* isn't the most anticipated MCU film of the year. However, we must also recognize that Marvel, apart from one big mistake, has done a pretty good job promoting it. The studio presented the feature film as if it were an A24 production, emphasizing that it would be an experience unlike any other. Well, with the feedback from the preview, we have confirmation that it was indeed one.
Viewers who attended The London premiere was unanimous: Thunderbolts* is a good film. Even better, some consider it one of the best productions of recent years. Although it retains the MCU style, between action and humor, the film is distinguished by a darker tone that has clearly made an impression on the public. The other elements that caught their attention are of course the two post-credits scenes, the last of which is considered one of the best in a long time.
Thunderbolts*: the two post-credits scenes deciphered
WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THUNDERBOLTS* JUST BELOW
Since the end of the preview, a lot of things have been circulating about the two post-credits scenes, including a lot of nonsense. Yes, Avengers: Doomsday is well-teased, but not in the way you might think. The first scene doesn't really have much to say: it's just jokes about the Red Guardian and a box of cereal. The second, however, is much more intriguing. It shows the Thunderbolts having a conversation with Sam Wilson. He discusses his plans to form the New Avengers and also claims he owns the copyright to the word "Avengers." The conversation is suddenly interrupted by the arrival of the Fantastic Four's ship, which enters the atmosphere.
This final post-credits scene reveals several major pieces of information. First, it suggests that the meaning of the asterisk could be different from what Marvel had given us, and could actually be a reference to the New Avengers. Who could Sam recruit? A question that will certainly be answered in the next Avengers. The other important element of the scene is the Fantastic Four's incursion into Earth-616. Even if we could suspect it from the trailers, Marvel confirms that the team will flee their universe. Did they succeed in defeating Galactus? We don't know that yet. In any case, it's reassuring to see that the studio is starting to tease short-term events again, even if we can regret the fact that it reveals the end of its next film. That said, viewers have been shocked like they haven't been in a long time. Let's hope it will be the same for us.
Those who weren't afraid of being spoiled, tell us what you think of these post-credits scenes in the comments section.
