City building fans can rejoice. Cities Skylines 2 is about to welcome a new DLC. And not just any DLC. Entitled Bridges and Ports, this content will enrich the game with a whole host of new features related to maritime infrastructure.
Docks, ports, bridges... and much more for Cities Skylines 2
According to a recent update spotted on Steam, this DLC should add over 100 new elements. Among them: docks, jetties, drawbridges, offshore oil platforms and even fish farms. Suffice to say that the seaside will finally take on a bigger role in your cities.
The new achievements included in the game Cities Skylines 2 give a good glimpse of what awaits us. For example, it will be possible to:
- Build 5 kilometers of docks
- Harvest 10,000 tons of fish
- Transport 24,000 tons of resources via freight ports
- Install several movable bridges in the same city
In short, something big for fans of industrial zones and maritime logistics.
A near release... but still unconfirmed
For now, no official trailer or specific date. But everything suggests that this Cities: Skylines 2 DLC will arrive very soon, probably by the end of the second quarter of 2025. The fact that achievements are already visible in the Steam database is often a sign that the release is imminent.
Since its launch in October 2023, Cities: Skylines 2 has had a mixed start. The game has been criticized for its performance issues, especially on PC. Fortunately, the developers have fixed quite a few things with regular updates, including a major anniversary update last March. This new content could well revive interest in the game. Especially for those who were expecting more diversity in water-related constructions.
