GP Explorer 3: Prices are exploding, but it's for a good cause

From Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5, the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit will host the very last edition of the GP Explorer, the cult event launched by Squeezie in 2022. This third race – dubbed The Last Race for the occasion – will invite spectators to cheer on their favorite content creators for an entire weekend. For the first time, the GP Explorer festivities will take place over three days, for even more spectacle but also comfort. On site, there will be an initial evening of driver presentations and concerts on Friday, followed by two days of intensive racing on the Le Mans circuit. But if this busy schedule is enough to make future spectators dream, this new organization also means a surge in prices.

A better experience, but at what cost?

During the two previous editions, the GP Explorer was not always the most pleasant for the fans present on site. Between the endless traffic jams at the arrival and departure of Le Mans, as well as the seats obtained on a "first come, first served" basis, the event could be stressful to say the least. To start off on a high note, the GP Explorer 3 is therefore trying a completely different strategy. By taking place over three days and offering different ticket categories (general admission and grandstand seats), the event hopes to better distribute traffic while avoiding the hassle of securing on-site seats.

However, this means that you will have to pay a lot more to enjoy the event. Spectators will have to pay a single ticket per day if they wish to enjoy all the festivities throughout the weekend, at the following prices:

  • Access to the concerts on Friday evening, October 3: €29 per person
  • General access on Saturday or Sunday: €69 per person, per day
  • Grandstand access on Saturday or Sunday: €85 per person, per day

Unfortunately, the event is therefore less financially accessible than in previous years, a decision already widely criticized by some of the public, and rightly so. But it is certainly the most effective strategy to avoid the chaos of the two previous editions. The multi-day organization also offers an additional chance for spectators to get at least one ticket for this event, which will quickly become a victim of its success in 2022 and 2023. This year, no fewer than 80,000 people are expected each day.
