Two weeks after its fanfare release, the second trailer for GTA 6 already has over 110 million views. A sign like any other that Rockstar Games' next title is crystallizing truly colossal expectations. To curb their impatience, fans are engaging in various activities, such as watching it on repeat or analyzing every last detail. Foosmoke, for its part, has created a PS2 Demake adaptation, notably using assets from GTA Vice City. And the adaptation work is legitimately impressive.
The second trailer for GTA 6, but with a Vice City twist on PS2
The first trailer for GTA 6, released last year, also greatly inspired a few creative minds. We were able to see a revisit of it in live-action, or what it would look like if it had been filmed in Marseille instead of Vice City. Speaking of Vice City, this new opus will, as a reminder, take us to the iconic city from the eponymous game released in 2002, but in our time, and no longer in the 80s.
Foosmoke had fun creating a Demake version of the second trailer for GTA 6, as if Rockstar Games could have done it to present Vice City on PS2. We therefore find a version with significantly fewer polygons and visual details of the city of Vice, as well as Lucia and Jason, the couple we will play in the next game of the legendary big-time crime franchise.
This Demake trailer for GTA 6 is in any case faithful to the staging of the original trailer, but also to the technical limitations of Vice City released on PS2. Even with graphics and technology that are over 20 years old, this adaptation of Foosmoke feels like a demake of GTA 6. As for the real game, however, you'll have to wait until May 26, 2026, to dive into it, probably first on PS5 and Xbox Series, and at a later date on PC.
