Inevitably, the gaming world stopped breathing to focus on all the new information revealed by the star-studded company.
Jason and Lucia: United for life and death in GTA 6
After the excellent Grand Theft Auto 5, we know that GTA 6 will once again offer a team-based adventure. As a duo, more precisely. After a first trailer focused on the heroine, Lucia, the second places us in the footsteps of Jason, her companion and partner in crime. Their story is now becoming clearer between the information in the trailer and that provided on the official Rockstar Games website.
Let's first focus on the star of this second trailer: Jason Duval, whose French-sounding name immediately brings to mind Louisiana. He grew up in a complicated environment, surrounded by crooks of all kinds. A former soldier, he came to settle in the Keys to lead an easy life working for drug traffickers. But with Lucia by his side, his life will take an uncertain turn, for better or for worse.
For her part, Lucia Caminos is leaving Leonida Penitentiary, determined to live the high life on her own terms, with Jason. Originally from Liberty City, she too was forged from a young age. Her father, far from being gentle, taught her to fight very early on. It is from him in particular that she gets this strong character that will allow her to take things in hand for a great adventure à la Bonnie and Clyde in GTA 6.
Colorful sidekicks
Who says Grand Theft Auto, also says casting of size and weight. GTA 6 will be no exception with a plethora of characters with strong personalities to accompany Jason and Lucia in their tumultuous adventures. First of all, the new trailer reveals that we'll be dealing with Brian Heder. This seasoned drug dealer now delegates the dirty work to his associates: Jason and Cal Hampton. The latter happens to be a friend of our hero and a budding geek. It's a bit like the brains when we have the muscles.
But in the drug trade, Brian isn't the only middleman. Jason will be working with other important figures in the business, starting with Boobie Ike. This Vice City legend has built an empire, dabbling in all sorts of businesses, including music, clubs, and powder. He collaborates with Dre'Quan Priest, who started dealing at a very young age but now has other ambitions: breaking into the music industry.
There's no shortage of duos in this GTA 6. For example, Dre'Quan Priest signed the Real Dimez to Boobie Ike. This pair of singers and influencers, friends from high school, have a good grasp of the codes for standing out on social media. This demonstrates once again that the internet and smartphones will play an essential part in this adventure.
Finally, Jason and Lucia will face another bigwig from the Vice City crime scene: Raul Bautista. This man is clearly not afraid to take risks. That's why he's always looking for accomplices for increasingly impressive heists. Typically, this is the partner who should appeal to those already nostalgic for GTA 5 or fans of Payday-style games.
