If you like Animal Crossing, you absolutely must not miss this new game

Animal Crossing New Horizons was one of the biggest hits for the original Nintendo Switch. Released probably when players needed it most, this title allowed us to escape during a 2020 in the midst of a pandemic. However, as the years went by, new content didn't follow. Never mind, fans of the genre will soon have something to do! No, there's no new AC coming out, but a compilation that should please you, based on an already famous one.

Farm life awaits Animal Crossing fans

Since its debut in 2001, the Animal Crossing franchise has evolved and expanded from one console to the next. To date, New Horizons is undoubtedly the most accomplished opus. Among the latest new features your island adventure has enjoyed is the ability to tend your own vegetable garden. If this appeals to you, then why not fully embrace the farming lifestyle with Harvest Moon?

Launched 5 years before the first Animal Crossing, the Harvest Moon franchise has also made its way from the Super Nintendo to the Switch. If you like cozy experiences, this is typically the kind of game you should enjoy. And for good reason: the franchise invites you to lead a peaceful life as a farmer, developing your farm, between crops and livestock, while allowing you to interact with colorful neighbors.

Does the Animal Crossing-like experience tempt you? Then get ready! Because Natsume Studio is unveiling a compilation bringing together two 3DS titles for the Nintendo Switch: Harvest Moon The Lost Valley and Harvest Moon The Skytree Village. Both have been remastered and optimized for the hybrid console.

The release is scheduled for July 4, 2025 (French date) in digital and physical formats. Pre-orders are already open at most retailers, such as Micromania or the official store of the Natsume Studio. You can opt for the standard or collector's version. The latter includes bonus goodies: the game box, 2 sheets of stickers, a “Best Of” CD of the soundtrack, 2 background illustrations for diorama and 1 double-sided A4 poster. So, if you're a fan of games like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, this compilation might be for you.
