A few minutes ago, 2K Games and Hangar13 unveiled the new gameplay video for Mafia The Old Country at PAX East 2025. Thanks to this video, we were able to see a new overview of the game, but also discover the different editions of the game, the price and the official release, which is indeed set for August 8th.
Mafia The Old Country: Welcome to the Mafia
It was during PAX East 2025 that 2K Games and Hangar 13 presented a new gameplay video for Mafia The Old Country. A video that reveals many panoramas of the game, but also quite a few varied sequences, between car races, horse chases, infiltration, gunfight and even tomb exploration à la Uncharted. The game promises to be extremely varied and will indeed be a linear game, abandoning the open-world aspect of Mafia III. Moreover, this is what justifies the price of the game. In an official press release, 2K Games and Hangar 13 confirm that the game will be offered at a price of 49.99 euros since it is a "linear game that does not require a massive time commitment".
We can also see here a subliminal message from Take Two Interactive, the parent company of 2K Games and Hangar 13, which is preparing players for a much higher price for GTA 6 which, for its part, should require a massive time commitment.
Mafia The Old Country confirms its date for August 8th and will be entitled to a Digital Deluxe Edition which will be offered, for its part, at 59.99 euros. Which is still cheaper than a standard base game currently. With this deluxe edition, it will be possible to have some additional bonuses such as:
