That's it, we can say it: we're less than a month away from the release of the Nintendo Switch 2. The new console from Big N will officially hit the market on June 5, 2025. However, the launch lineup is still relatively vague. We know, for example, that Mario Kart World will be available at launch, but that won't be the only title, of course. Other games will obviously be added to the catalog later. One publisher is also planning to carve out a niche for itself on the machine, potentially with some big games.
Are Ubisoft fans spoiled on Nintendo Switch 2?
While the first hybrid console gave pride of place to first-party games, the Nintendo Switch 2 will put third-party productions in the spotlight. Publishers are therefore looking into porting their already renowned titles in order to give themselves a solid showcase at Nintendo. Among them, we already count on the presence of Ubisoft in the catalog. The French video game giant has already announced that Star Wars Outlaws will be entitled to a version on the new machine. However, it certainly won't be the only recent game to arrive there.
In fact, the Brazilian branch of Ubisoft could already have teased future titles to be released on Nintendo Switch 2. What makes us say this? A post on the studio's social networks in which it asks players which of the publisher's productions they would like to find on the future console. However, the image used for this post brings together three recent games alongside Star Wars Outlaws: Rainbow Six Siege, Assassin's Creed Mirage, and Assassin's Creed Shadows. Could this be a clue?
Seeing Star Wars Outlaws in this image could indeed suggest that the other three titles, including the last two Assassin's Creeds, would be entitled to a port on Nintendo Switch 2. But they are not the only ones. The community manager behind the post on X openly mentions Rayman Legends in his post. While the legendary Ubisoft character has just confirmed a future return in 3D, this arrival of one of the most fabulous 2D opuses would be a great way to prepare the ground. So, more than ever, it seems that the publisher wants to whet our appetites.
