Big N has rolled out a major 20.0.0 update for its Nintendo Switch, paving the way for what's to come before the next console's launch. This major patch adds virtual game cards for using digital games like physical titles. This allows you to lend your games for a limited time, for example, or to use them on two machines, knowing that you'll have to virtually eject them to do so. There's also support for Nintendo Switch 2's GameShare, allowing you to share games via local wireless networking. This way, only one player needs a title to play with another.
A patch for Nintendo Switch update 20.0.0
The Nintendo Switch update 20.0.0 has brought some significant changes, but unfortunately, it's also caused a huge problem. Depending on your console model, and after installing the firmware, you may have encountered error 2206-1015. The main consequence of this error is that it renders your machine unusable. According to feedback, this mainly affects older Nintendo Switch models, including those launched in 2017, while the OLED and Lite versions seem to be less affected, if at all.
But this error 2206-1015 from the Nintendo Switch update 20.0.0 is now a thing of the past, as a 20.0.1 patch is available for download for everyone. It applies in the usual way, unless you are already experiencing the error. If this is the case, you will have additional steps to take.
