Are you planning to pay a visit to our Gallic friends at Parc Astérix soon? The park is located in Plailly, about 35 km north of Paris. It's a destination that attracts fans of the character created by Uderzo and Gosciny every year and appeals to thrill-seekers with its many attractions. Every year, Parc Astérix makes a point of offering new attractions to visitors. You're probably wondering what budget should you plan for a day in the world of Asterix? We're offering you a complete overview of the expenses to plan for a typical day spent in the park, as well as tips for saving money.

Parking prices at Parc Astérix
To get to Parc Astérix, you'll need to take the A1 motorway. So, be prepared for toll and fuel costs. Parking is set at 20 euros per day and must be paid upon arrival.
If you have a driver, to avoid paying for parking, they can drop you off at the park entrance as there is a drop-off point near the entrance.
There is also a Roissy CDG/Parc Astérix shuttle (from 8:45 a.m. and returns 30 minutes before the park closes) for 11 euros.
The Filotomatix
As in all amusement parks, you have to queue. But Parc Astérix, like Disneyland Paris, offers a service called Filotomatix, to reduce or eliminate waiting times. This service is offered in different packages. A single attraction costs between 8 and 12 euros. The Bronze offer, at 20 euros, is a virtual queue to skip the lines for 12 attractions, the Silver offer, at 35 euros, cuts your waiting time in half, and the Gold offer, at 55 euros, offers fast-track access without waiting in line for 11 attractions (except for La Tour de Numérobis). Finally, for 135 euros, you get an Unlimited Filotomatix for 14 attractions including Toutatis and Discobléix.
Tip: buy your Filotomatix in advance to benefit from special rates (5 euros cheaper for the Bronze, Gold, Silver and Unlimited Filotomatix).
Catering at Parc Astérix
Parc Astérix offers a varied range of food within its grounds. You can choose between snacks, fast food, and a sit-down or takeaway menu. For an adult, expect to pay between 15 and 25 euros depending on the restaurant and for a children's menu, between 9 and 12 euros. Ice creams, drinks, and snacks range from 3 to 7 euros.
Tip: the Parc Astérix website allows you to book your meal plan online to benefit from a preferential rate. You can bring your own picnic, but you'll have to eat outside the park.
Extras and souvenirs at Parc Astérix
In all the amusement parks, souvenir shops are waiting for you! You'll be tempted to leave with a plush toy, a t-shirt, or an Asterix helmet. Depending on the item, prices range from 5 to 40 euros. For the famous souvenir photos in the attractions, count between 12 and 15 euros.
Tip: as always, especially with children, set yourself a budget not to exceed for gifts!
As you have just seen, depending on the choice of transport, whether you eat on site or take your picnic, your souvenir budget, etc ... it is possible to spend a day at Parc Astérix with a budget ranging from around sixty euros to 130/150 euros per person. And if you plan your visit well in advance, it is entirely possible not to blow your budget.
