After Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which will still introduce a small batch of new Pokémon, including Mega Evolutions, the franchise should make us dream with its tenth generation of Pokémon. 30 years after the Red and Blue versions, the 10th generation of Pokémon will be released, and it remains to be seen whether Game Freak will silence the critics. In the meantime, fans continue to imagine what comes next.
A committed Pokémon community
Pokémon has been making its fans dream for several decades. While the main games allow you to take part in moderate adventures designed for the general public, talented fans of the license do not hesitate to create fangames for those who would like more. Between the Uranium Team and Pokémon Uranium, Jan and the Rejuvenation Team behind Pokémon Reborn, and Eric Lostie and his Pokémon Z, Pokémon Anil and Pokémon Opalo, Pokémon fans have plenty to do.
And it is not uncommon for these fangames to include new Pokémon, imagined by Internet users. "Fakemon" that sometimes disrupt Game Freak's plans, like the Flying-type evolution of Eevee, once considered by the developer. But the studio's idea was so close to existing Fakemon that Game Freak preferred to abandon it. Nevertheless, these impacts on the Japanese studio's plans do not slow down the artists of the Pokémon community.
A perfect evolution for Duskrow
Recently, a certain FunniBunni1010101010 shared his idea for a Duskrow evolution on the Fakemon subreddit. Fans immediately approved the proposal, especially since it is more complete than ever. Named Duskrow, this Pokémon takes the appearance of a scarecrow armed with a huge scythe, a witch's hat on its head. But to evolve it, no Night Stone or upside-down console, but knock out 15 Flying-Type Pokémon with a Scythe holding a Scythe Cloth.

As a reminder, the Scythe Cloth, which appeared with the fourth generation of Pokémon, allows you to evolve Dusclops into Dusknoir. Another use for this item is a way to recycle a Scythe Cloth that's in need of love. Internet users are fans, as much for the design as for the name. And while fans were speculating about its Type, its creator left no room for doubt: Ghost / Dark. Duskrow would thus join the very closed circle of dual-Type Ghost / Dark Pokémon, alongside Sableye, Mega Sableye, and Spiritomb.
And with only one weakness to the Fairy Type, some nice resistances, and a dual offensive Type, Duskrow already presents itself as a great strategic possibility. It remains to be seen whether a fangame will have fun animating it in 3D and integrating it into a game. The answer will be in the coming years.
