Resident Evil 9: Excellent news is coming, it's confirmed again

Now that Monster Hunter Wilds is well behind it, Capcom can focus on the rest of its licenses. The next big game hasn't shown up yet, but we know it exists: Resident Evil 9. Without clearly telling us that it was indeed the numbered sequel, Capcom had officially announced the development of the next installment in the saga, overseen by the director of Resident Evil 7, considered one of the best in the franchise. Since then, there has been no news, until the release of a video to celebrate 10 million sales of Resident Evil 4 Remake, where a strange symbol appeared. It was enough for fans to start theorizing, rightly or wrongly? We have some new leads.

Resident Evil 9 soon to be announced? It's quite possible!

It is indeed said that Resident Evil 9 should give its news very soon. We owe this information to AestheticGamer, aka Dusk Golem, well known for his information on the license and horror titles more generally. If the insider did not only hit the nail on the head, he still aimed right on many occasions. According to him, the symbol IX (9) present in the video of Resident Evil 4 Remake is not a coincidence since according to his information, Resident Evil 9 should be unveiled in the very near future by Capcom.

While he does not give more details on this, he does however specify that this is not the first time that Capcom has teased in this way. Resident Evil 3 Remake was teased in the demo of Resident Evil 2 Remake, RE 4 Remake in a video of RE 3 Remake, etc. So it could be that Capcom is indeed playing with our nerves a few weeks before Summer Game Fest, a time when announcements are often made and in which the studio is always actively participating. It seems more than likely that Resident Evil 9 will decide to show itself in the coming months. We'll still be careful for the moment as long as nothing is official.
