Digital Dreams has just unveiled an impressive new video featuring The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered in a visually transformed version. Thanks to a series of advanced mods and a high-end configuration, the game now displays a pretty crazy rendering.
An immersion boosted by recent technologies for The Elder Scrolls Oblivion
In this demo The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Oblivion runs with ray tracing enabled, DLSS 4 and frame generation, all on an RTX 5090. These technologies allow you to enjoy dynamic lighting, more natural reflections and significantly improved fog management. Even the night gets special treatment, no more dull atmospheres under the clouds. Special mention goes to the swamp around the seventh minute, where it's simply stunning compared to the base game from 2006.
Thanks to the Ultra+ mod, the TES Oblivion game remains fluid, even at very high resolution. Some players report impressive performance, reaching over 150 FPS indoors. That said, a powerful machine is still essential to get the most out of all these graphical additions. Especially to have such a high frame rate.
A striking contrast between modernity and period structure
Even if visually the TES Oblivion game seems new, its level design recalls its origins. The square structures and rectilinear dungeons still betray the limitations of the time. But it is also this contrast that gives this remastered version its charm, between nostalgia and modernity. Not bad, right?
This video proves one thing: The Elder Scrolls Oblivion has not said its last word. Thanks to the passion of modders and the capabilities of modern hardware, the game is back in the spotlight, more beautiful than ever. For PC players, this is a great opportunity to (re)discover Cyrodiil in a new light.
