The Sims 4 Gets a New Update, Here's What's New

It's now part of the game. inZoi was cut for its condition at launch, but we know that its model has also had less glorious times. Especially since with each release of a Sims 4 expansion, we are entitled to a batch of bugs, sometimes very annoying. The Maxis teams then work hard in the following weeks to correct the most urgent problems. As promised, a new update for The Sims 4 is now available on all platforms.

New batch of fixes for the leader in life simulation. The new patch is now available on consoles and PC and we'll stop you right there. No, the critical Sims 4 For Rent bug that literally corrupted some players' historical saves is still unaffected, much to the community's dismay. Instead, this new patch mainly serves to prepare for the arrival of the next kits, which already seem to be unanimously acclaimed before their launch. So, a few bugs and glitches have been fixed to improve the experience. Without further ado, here are all the fixes in this new update to The Sims 4:

Patch notes for the new version

The Sims 4 base game

• When teen Sims become young adults, they now have the ability to have a third personality trait.
• Sims no longer stop reacting and the game no longer freezes in the save menu when there are multiple ghosts in the fireplace.
• You can now water plants growing in the Outdoor Planter, Handmade Planter, Garden Plot with Mound, and Garden Plot.
• In Create A Sim, the dress (yfBody_SDX037DressAline) no longer has a visible seam when paired with certain shoes.
• Fixed an issue on Mac. The game no longer reacted when traveling to the library or the Willow Creek nightclub.

High School

• High school event tasks now appear correctly when sending multiple teens to school.
• After clipping to the chosen length, arm hair now updates correctly.
• Sims can now solve the chess puzzle at the Chess Team's Science Fair.

Life or Death

• Sims with certain reward traits can now reincarnate without simulation errors. They are sent as intended in Create A Sim.
• Golden beams now only appear the first time in the Supernatural Creature Selector in the Create A Sim UI.

The Sims 4 Business & Leisure

• Customers practicing tattoos now focus on their current task instead of constantly swapping practice partners.
• Small business staff are no longer a valid standalone target for the Practice Tattooing customer base rule.
• Sims who work at multiple small businesses now put on the correct staff uniform when the second business is open after the first has closed.
• Sims who own their own small business now put on the correct uniform for work.
• The "Hire Staff" objective of the "Run a Small Business" Discovery Quest now completes when the staff member is hired via UI or social interaction.
• Fixed an issue that caused a missing icon to appear when selling a business.
• The geometry of the robbery bag is no longer distorted during animation.
• Sims who need to clean no longer attempt to wash their cotton candy or swirl lollipops in the sink and throw them directly in the trash.
• Updated a missing color swatch for the Creativity base cabinet.
• Updated missing color swatches for canvases in the Ash-Authenticated Artwork collection.
• The "Ask to Teach" interaction now has the correct skill name listed in the radial menu.
• Unfinished pottery no longer spoils in The Sims 4.
• Prepared and cooked food now displays the "for sale" visual effect when placed on store displays.
• Ash Parde was reprimanded for littering and promised to stop leaving his cotton candy on the ground all over Iverstad.
• Create and bake family recipes now contributes to the Simple Life Lot Challenge.
• The cost to create and prepare a Family Recipe is now accurate when Sims have the ingredients in their inventory.
• Sims who have not purchased a Small Business Entry Ticket can now freely use the items in their own inventory.
• When the Entry Ticket is purchased with a group, the entry fee is now calculated correctly.
• Fixed the following issue. The "Confirm" button could be grayed out, even though you had selected an item, when adding items to the Mystic Moonlight crystal grid in Crystal Creations or to store displays in Business & Leisure via the radial menu interaction.

The Sims 4 Vampires

• Child Sims with vampire eyes now keep them instead of getting regular eyes.

Secret Boudoir

• Fixed a pixelation issue that occurred on the green variation of the dress (yfBody_SP59Dress).
