Thunderbolts*: The post-credits scene confirms this theory about Fantastic Four

If you've already seen Thunderbolts*, released in theaters this Wednesday, April 30, or you're not afraid of spoilers, read on; otherwise, we recommend coming back later! Are you still here? So know that one of the two post-credits scenes from the latest MCU film (which we describe in detail here) confirms a theory about Fantastic Four.

Finally! After a string of rather poor films, including an entertaining but bland Captain America: Brave New World, fans are excited for Thunderbolts.* Currently playing in theaters, the final chapter of the MCU's Phase 5 sees the Marvel team of anti-heroes take on the Void, a terrifying threat that only they can stop. One of the two post-credits scenes confirms a theory about Fantastic Four, which is scheduled for release this summer. Indeed, we see Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) using high-tech equipment to observe the arrival of a spaceship on Earth, a spaceship that is none other than that of the 4F! If we already knew that the first film of Phase 6 of the MCU will take place on an Earth other than Earth-616, this scene confirms that the team will soon cross the Multiverse in our direction.

The Fantastic Four will therefore make their entrance on Earth-616 some 14 months after the events of Thunderbolts*, which takes place just after Captain America: Brave New World in 2027. While we've known for months that the film will take place in an alternate universe, we now have tangible confirmation that the MCU team won't be stuck in their timeline. Unless, of course, Marvel is trying to throw fans off the scent, and it's not the superheroes who are in that shuttle, but a usurper - Doom?
