This Monday, May 13, 2025, TF1 will organize an interview with Emmanuel Macron, who will face various speakers who will be present on the set to discuss various current affairs and social issues. Among them, YouTuber Tibo InShape. A choice that has been widely commented on and especially mocked on social media.
Emmanuel Macron faces various figures from civil society
On Monday, May 13, Gilles Bouleau will host the Head of State, Emmanuel Macron, at 8:10 p.m. on TF1. He will answer questions from the journalist as well as several figures from civil society who will question him on "the challenges facing France." 15-minute mini-debates will be organized on the set. The President of the Republic will face Sophie Binet, the general secretary of the CGT, the mayor of Béziers Robert Ménard, left-wing essayist Salomé Saqué to talk about youth, and former sports journalist Charles Biétry, who suffers from Lou Gehrig's disease, to address the issue of end of life. But the personality that caused a huge reaction from internet users was the announcement of the participation of France's top YouTuber, Tibo InShape, who will question Emmanuel Macron in a video on the topic of sports at school.
Tibo InShape's choice on TF1 mocked by internet users
Tibo InShape, whose real name is Thibaud Delapart, is a key figure on the internet but also very often criticized. With a community of more than 25 million subscribers on YouTube, the thirty-year-old has become the most followed French videographer in November 2024. He became known for his content focused on bodybuilding and fitness before diversifying by exploring careers. Despite his popularity on social media, the young man is often the subject of controversy due to his political opinions. Many consider him too right-wing and close to the National Rally. During the legislative elections on July 7, the videographer decided to reveal who he had voted for in order to silence rumors speculating about a vote for the far right.
With his outspokenness and his proximity to young people via social media, we hope that this exchange with Emmanuel Macron will be a good way to address issues of education and sports in a different way. However, some Internet users find that the choice of Tibo InShape for this show is not justified. Many people believe that TF1 could have invited students from STAPS or sports studies or sports professionals such as PE teachers, doctors or professional athletes. We invite you to discover some reactions posted on X.

Don't we have enough teachers, sports doctors, physiotherapists, and professional athletes? https://t.co/5j2glAa5Wc

Tibo Inshape to talk about sports at school. I have a bitter thought for the PE colleagues, the community actors like @usep_44 and all the school teachers.
