X-Men: Marvel has reportedly found a director, and MCU fans will be delighted

Marvel's big boss, Kevin Feige, has made no secret of the fact that the X-Men will be at the center of the MCU in the coming years. Professor Charles Xavier's mutant family, along with Magneto's, will soon make their on-screen debut—or rather, their return—with Avengers: Doomsday. However, the studios are also preparing a remake with a slate of new actors, and it seems that the director has been found... And his name is familiar to you!

X-Men: an anticipated reboot

X-Men: Marvel has reportedly found a director, and MCU fans will be delighted

The true introduction of mutants into the MCU, either in the form of a new cast and new characters, is a major challenge for Marvel. The actors of the Fox franchise, whether it is the first or The second generation, are very popular with audiences. The return of Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Diablo), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), James Marsden (Cyclops) and Kesley Grammer (Beast) in Avengers Doomsday is proof that the studios want to make a smooth transition with their own cast. After the Multiverse Saga, which will end in 2027, the X-Men will be the stars of a reboot, whose director may well have already been found... And you know who he is!

X-Men: This MCU director could sign the film

According to our colleagues at Deadline, Marvel Studios is in negotiations with Jake Schreier, the director of Thunderbolts* / New Avengers, which has been in theaters since April 30.

We don't know where the negotiation process is, but our sources say that after a meeting last week, Schreier seems to be the first choice to take charge of one of the most expected from the studio.

Acclaimed by critics and audiences for its treatment of the characters, whose mental health and more or less fragile understanding are at the heart of the film, Jake Schreier's Thunderbolts* skillfully blends action and social interactions. Marvel has a habit of keeping the most promising talents it discovers, so the possibility of the director returning to sign a new MCU project is not surprising. His ability to manage a team on screen makes him a good candidate for the future X-Men.

And you, what do you think?
