iOS 26 brings quite a few new features, and Apple Wallet is no exception. If you're used to storing your boarding passes on your iPhone, you'll appreciate these little additions designed for travelers.
Live tracking for all flights, without relying on airline apps
Until now, some airlines allowed you to track flight information in real time on the lock screen, but it wasn't very widespread or reliable. Now, iOS 26 integrates these Live Activities directly into the Wallet app. Regardless of the airline, you will now see your flight information (departure time, boarding gate, delays, etc.) clearly displayed on the screen.
Another new feature: it is now easy to share this tracking with a contact. Handy if someone is picking you up at the airport, or just wants to track your flight.
Airport maps and baggage tracking, right in Apple Wallet
iOS 26 also adds useful information to your boarding pass details. You can open the airport map with a simple gesture, making it easier to find your gate, for example.
And if you've slipped an AirTag into your bag, the tracking will now appear directly on your boarding pass. No more juggling multiple apps: everything is in one place. It will even be possible to report a lost suitcase, without leaving Apple Wallet.
