Assassin's Creed Hexe has been leaked and it looks very promising

Announced nearly three years ago, Assassin's Creed Hexe fascinates and puzzles fans of the franchise alike. After offering us feudal Japan in Assassin's Creed Shadows, Ubisoft is reportedly planning a radical change of atmosphere with this title, which this time will take place in 16th-century Europe, in the context of a witch hunt. And while we're still waiting for more official information from the publisher, one thing seems certain: this opus is likely to surprise more than one.

Assassin's Creed Hexe is looking surprising but promising

And for good reason, according to BunnyTheVillain, a member of the Ubisoft Partner program and well-known leaker in the industry, Assassin's Creed Hexe would offer "a dark [and] haunted tone" very different from the other opuses. According to his information, the title would also feature a protagonist, Elsa, who would seek "revenge for her mother, executed as a witch during the witch trials". This seems to corroborate some leaks that have occurred in previous years, which would further support their reliability.

Of course, as always in this kind of situation, let's not forget that this should be taken with a grain of salt. There is nothing official yet. That being said, Assassin's Creed fans know that revenge is a recurring theme within the franchise, regardless of the era in question. And we can only be curious to see how far Ubisoft will go in such a context. Because while it obviously won't be a horror game, everything seems to indicate that Assassin's Creed Hexe could give us a bit of a thrill in its own way.

We'll have to wait

Unfortunately, it seems that we'll have to be patient before we know for sure. Because as we told you last month, Assassin's Creed Hexe might not actually be released before 2027. That said, fans can rest assured: Ubisoft shouldn't leave us without anything during all that time either. Before it, no fewer than three games are planned, including Jade, a mobile game set in China, Invictus, a multiplayer title similar to Fall Guys, and finally Obsidian, a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
