Fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 will have another good reason to get excited. The famous Japanese brand Good Smile Company has just announced the upcoming arrival of its very first Nendoroid figurine dedicated to the game. For the occasion, a particularly popular character has been chosen.
An obvious choice to launch the Baldur's Gate 3 collection
It is therefore Astarion, the vampire as seductive as he is formidable, who will have the honor of inaugurating this collection. Since the release of Baldur's Gate 3 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, this complex character, both funny and dark, has quickly established himself as a favorite among gamers. It is therefore not surprising to see him chosen for this first figurine. For the moment, no visuals have been revealed, but the announcement has already generated a lot of excitement. The figurine is expected for the end of 2026, during the fourth quarter.
For those who are not yet familiar with Nendoroids, they are collectible figurines with a "chibi" look, with many details, interchangeable faces, and often some iconic accessories. More high-end than a simple Funko Pop, each piece is designed for enthusiasts.
Even without an image, we can already imagine Astarion with his crooked smile, his piercing eyes, and why not, a small chalice in his hand. Many Baldur's Gate 3 fans are hoping that this figurine will be as successful as the character is in the game.
A series that is just beginning?
While only Astarion has been announced so far, it's hard to believe that Good Smile will stop there. The cast of Baldur's Gate 3 is rich, varied, and above all very popular. Shadowheart, Karlach or Lae'zel could easily follow. Especially since other brands, like Funko or Youtooz, have already offered their own versions of these characters, proof that there is a real demand.
As is often the case with this type of product, you will probably have to be patient. The time between the announcement, the first images, and the actual release can be long. But the wait is generally worth it. Especially for a figurine as anticipated as Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3.
