Among the highly anticipated games by players, we find in particular Crimson Desert, which, as one might expect, is likely to delight fans of open worlds and beautiful visual achievements. And indeed, it could well be that the game is released very soon.
A credible, but surprising date for Crimson Desert
The development of Crimson Desert is progressing rapidly, and according to a South Korean media outlet, the game could finally be released on November 2, 2025. The information comes from an exclusive report published by MTN, which reportedly obtained this date directly during an interview with members of the Pearl Abyss team. Be careful, however, this is a "provisional" date, and several elements still leave room for doubt.
What immediately stands out is that November 2 falls on a Sunday. However, headlines rarely appear on this day. This is not enough to disqualify the information for Crimson Desert, but it does encourage caution. Especially since neither Pearl Abyss nor its partners have yet officially communicated on a launch window. But this date remains consistent with previous statements. In December 2024, the publisher was already talking about a release in late 2025, and this new report seems to confirm that the goal hasn't changed.
First presented several years ago, Crimson Desert has managed to maintain the attention of players thanks to its regular appearances at major events, such as the Summer Game Fest. At the last edition in Los Angeles, it was even playable on site, confirming that the project was entering its final phase of development. For fans, there's only one thing missing: a firm date. And even if the November 2nd one should be taken with a pinch of salt, it at least gives an idea of the target window.
A serious GOTY candidate?
Another point mentioned in the MTN report: some South Korean analysts are already talking about Crimson Desert as a potential game of the year, especially since the release of GTA 6 has been pushed back to 2026. If Pearl Abyss's game lives up to its promise, it could well establish itself as a major title of the end of the year. With its spectacular open world, real-time combat, and impressive visuals, Crimson Desert already ticks several boxes to appeal to fans of ambitious action RPGs.
