It's definitely the week of announcements for Marvel Games. After Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls, the new fighting game from Arc System Works (Guilty Gear, Dragon Ball FighterZ) exclusive to the PS5, a big announcement was confirmed at Summer Game Fest 2025. A game is coming this year and it's unlike any other. We find the explosive cocktail of the franchise with jokes, meta jokes, action, and gore galore. It's going to be crazy!
A crazy, gory, and immersive Deadpool game announced
Summer Game Fest 2025 had some nice surprises in store, including the announcement of Marvel's Deadpool VR. Yes, the rumor was true, the anti-superhero is getting his own video game, and in virtual reality, please! "Discover what it's like to go deep inside Deadpool" says the game's product sheet. "Marvel's Deadpool VR features an all-new original story. After going through a portal to Mojoworld, Deadpool sees it as a chance to get rich, really rich. He signs a questionable contract without reading the fine print and then sets off to visit a bunch of locations in the Marvel Universe, facing off against iconic villains."
What can we expect in Marvel's Deadpool VR? Madness, violent and savage combat, both melee and ranged, where we can dismember our opponents to use certain parts as weapons. We can even use our own amputated limbs to beat up our enemies. On paper, the game looks like it's going all out for fun and amusing interactions in virtual reality. The other thing to remember from this first presentation is that you won't have to wait long to play it.
Marvel's Deadpool VR will indeed be released at the end of 2025... exclusively on Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. Therefore, if you have a VR headset other than these two models, you unfortunately won't be able to step into the superhero's shoes. Last but not least information, the character will be voiced this time by Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother).
