Battlefield 6 will launch by March 31, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In the meantime, fans of the franchise can still try out Delta Force Hawk Ops. A rival that also offers large-scale battles with on-foot and vehicle combat, but which is available for free, unlike DICE's saga. In addition to being free-to-play, it is regularly updated by the developers, and a whole series of new features have been implemented.
A new mode for Delta Force Hawk Ops
If you relaunched Team Jade and Tencent's FPS during the week of May 22, you may have noticed a major new feature. Indeed, after player complaints about the difficulty, the single-player mode Black Hawk Down is available on PC. But Delta Force Hawk Ops has received another big update with free new features in recent days.
After a delay, the new "Victory Unite" mode is now available to everyone. "At the start of a match, each faction can appoint commanders through a voting process. These commanders will then issue orders to squad captains for combat operations. Commanders can launch exclusive attacks that introduce new levels of strategic depth." While all Delta Force Hawk Ops players are eligible, there is a limit, as access is based on rank. PC users will need to reach the rank of Lieutenant, while mobile users will need to unlock the rank of Colonel.
Note that Victory Unite is currently only available on Delta Force Hawk Ops until July 8, 2025. A temporary event that also hides 10 Armament Vouchers as gifts, numerous cards to double War EXP during 1 match, a medal, a title, an avatar and a calling card.
The changes and fixes of the May 29, 2025 update
This May 29, 2025 update is also an opportunity for the Delta Force Hawk Ops studio to launch other events like the Space City Normal Operation exclusively on mobile. The Innocence Shop will allow you to obtain Innocence Tokens from May 30 to June 15, 2025, by completing missions. Also of note are the War Events "Siege Mode" and Operations "Paratrooper Raid." You can find all the event details on the DF website.
In addition to these new features, Delta Force Hawks Ops is taking advantage of this May 29, 2025 patch to fix bugs and provide further optimizations. Here are all the changes currently applied to the game:
- Fixed an issue where purchasing certain ammo in the Auction House would fail
- Fixed an issue where Level Pack end times would display incorrectly
- Fixed an issue where Assault Helicopter - Gaze was not displayed in the Pass rewards screen
- Fixed missing collision for the stairway walls in the Zero Dam Underpass
