Disney+: its new event series is available, it's going to make people happy

Two years after its launch, Phase 5 of the MCU continues to quietly follow its course. Perhaps a little too quietly for Marvel, since the least we can say is that the public seems less and less inclined to respond to new releases. Thunderbolts, now The New Avengers*, can attest to this. But no matter, the American company continues to follow its schedule, which today marks the arrival of a new series on Disney+.

Disney+ welcomes Ironheart, a new series from the MCU

Indeed, starting this June 24, the SVOD platform will begin hosting the first episodes of Ironheart, the fourteenth series to see the light of day in the MCU universe. Or rather, should we call it a mini-series to be more accurate, since this new production will actually only have six episodes in total. In fact, the first three are already available on Disney+, while the last three won't arrive for another week, on July 1st to be precise. So it will go relatively quickly.

The conclusion of phase 5

And the least we can say is that Ironheart occupies a relatively important place in the Marvel timeline. It is indeed the project that will conclude the buzzing Phase 5 of the MCU, which began in 2023 with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The Disney+ series stars MIT student Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, who discovers new secrets about magic and technology as she returns home to Chicago.

Written by Chinaka Hodge, Ironheart will naturally introduce new characters, such as Parker Robins, aka The Hood (Anthony Ramos), an ally of Riri's destined to accompany her in her new adventures full of dangers. The series will also feature Natalie Washington (Lyric Ross), Riri's best friend, and other characters whose roles are unknown. But the good thing is, all of this is available to watch today on Disney+, with the first three episodes available now.
