Disneyland Paris never stops innovating

New version of Big Thunder Mountain reopens this weekend
After 6 months of work, Disneyland Paris is pleased to announce the reopening of Big Thunder Mountain this Saturday, June 21, 2025. As a result, visitors will be able to enjoy improvements. The mine train was able to benefit from complete maintenance of the tunnels and rails and some sections of the route were completely replaced.
As for the scenery, the famous mountain that dominates the land dedicated to the Wild West has had a makeover with paint touch-ups and a cleaning of its arch. An operation carried out using drones. Note that some elements of the attraction such as the visual, sound, and water effects have been modernized.
The Disneyland Paris teams dismantled certain wooden parts such as the Mill Camp Tower to rebuild them and put them back in their place.
The renovation work also concerned decorative elements in the queue while preserving the spirit of the American Gold Rush era. Animals like goats, opossums, and bats were able to benefit from this makeover.
So to discover the new version of Big Thunder Mountain, come to Disneyland Paris on June 21, 2025. But be careful, the Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, and Dumbo attractions will be closed from June 23.
