Announced alongside the game Donkey Kong Bananza, a new double amiibo figure featuring Donkey Kong and Pauline is now available for pre-order at several retailers. Scheduled for release on July 17, 2025, this accessory already promises to appeal to Nintendo fans and amiibo collectors.
An iconic duo for Donkey Kong Bananza
Nintendo is expanding its amiibo collection with a new double figure featuring Donkey Kong and Pauline, the protagonists of the game Donkey Kong Bananza. Scheduled for release on July 17, 2025, this figure is available for pre-order at several retailers for €21.99. This amiibo figure offers exclusive bonuses in the DK Bananza game.
By scanning it on a Nintendo Switch 2 console, players will unlock Pauline's Diva Dress, a brand-new outfit for the character. In addition, golden KONG panels will appear, which can explode on impact when thrown or swung, adding a strategic dimension to the gameplay.
A long-awaited game
As a reminder, in Donkey Kong Bananza, DK and Pauline join forces to prevent the formidable VoidCo corporation from getting their hands on the banandium crystals. To do this, they must explore destructible underground environments in search of the Heart of the Planet. The game features a new core mechanic: terrain destruction, which allows you to open paths or create original solutions to environmental puzzles. The energy collected, called banana energy, allows Donkey Kong to transform into different animals, such as an ostrich or a zebra, each with specific abilities. Pauline, meanwhile, plays a key role thanks to her singing, which activates these transformations and repels enemies. It's even possible to play in local co-op, with one player controlling the famous monkey and the other Pauline.
The game will also feature a skill tree, a DK Artist mode based on the new features of the Nintendo Switch 2's Joy-Con, and a GameShare mode, allowing two players to play together on two consoles with a single copy of the game.
