Dying Light The Beast returns with a highly anticipated announcement

Techland studio seems to have a habit of attending Geoff Keighley's events, as they're the ones where we most often get announcements about its productions. Dying Light The Beast, first announced at Gamescom 2024, is no exception, and had previously confirmed its presence at Summer Game Fest 2025. Here it is, rotten flesh and gnawed bones, and it's definitely going to bleed!

Dying Light The Beast brings out the beast in him soon

After an up-and-down Dying Light 2 in 2022, Techland has decided to revisit its legacy and return to its first love. Dying Light The Beast puts us back in the shoes of Kyle Crane, the protagonist of Dying Light, released in 2015. Unfortunately, our hero isn't in great shape. Bitten in the first episode, his condition gave him truly bestial powers, but at the expense of his humanity. In any case, this is a rather clever way to vary the gameplay of Techland's franchise.

What doesn't change in Dying Light The Beast is precisely the acrobatic parkour aspect that allows us to move around a playground designed for the occasion. We also still have the right to brutal fights against zombies, and infected who are much more powerful and dangerous. Once again, the day/night cycle is of capital importance, and it's clearly not good to walk around at night, where the infected become even more monstrous.

On paper, Dying Light The Beast looks rather promising. This new trailer, part of Summer Game Fest 2025, also allows us to finally know the release date. See you again at the controls of Kyle Crane on August 22, 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
