Fantasy Life i receives a new update with new features for the Nintendo Switch 2

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time continues its merry way. The role-playing and simulation game by Level-5 has just surpassed the symbolic milestone of one million copies sold. A great success for a discreet, but endearing title. And that's not all, a new update has just arrived, with visual improvements designed for the Nintendo Switch 2.

A great update for Fantasy Life i

Version 1.3.0, available since today, introduces several new features. But not all of them concern the same platforms. On the Nintendo Switch 2 side, the patch improves the game's visual appearance: shadows are finer, lighting is better managed, and elements of the scenery appear further into the horizon. A depth of field option has also been added for a more immersive rendering. These graphical optimizations are exclusive to the Switch 2, and take advantage of its enhanced capabilities.

However, the other improvements, focused on gameplay, are available on both consoles, whether you play on Switch or Switch 2. Among them is a new auto-targeting option that allows you to automatically lock onto the nearest enemy as soon as you draw a weapon. A simple but effective evolution, which streamlines combat.

The Fantasy Life i patch also brings adjustments to building (ability to cancel and replace an object), to certain skills like "God's Touch", as well as more advanced customization of controls (for example, swapping the attack and dodge buttons). All of these elements make the game more comfortable and better adapted to everyone's habits.

A long-term strategy

Released last May, Fantasy Life i didn't necessarily make a big splash at its launch. But little by little, it has managed to attract a loyal audience. Between RPG, management, and a quiet life à la Animal Crossing, the game offers a relaxing adventure in a colorful universe. You choose a job, explore, harvest, fight... all at your own pace. With over a million sales, Level-5 can congratulate itself on having found its audience. This figure proves that there is a real demand for calm, accessible games, but rich in content.

Level-5 is not looking for buzz at all costs. With Fantasy Life i, the studio is playing the regularity card. The game continues to evolve, slowly but surely, with regular updates and attention paid to the players' quality of life. By focusing on compatibility with the Switch 2, the studio is taking advantage of the next generation. And is positioning its game as a safe bet for players who will soon be switching to Nintendo's new console, or who have already taken the plunge.
