Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7: towards a price increase, and not just a little

While Samsung has just announced the date of its next Unpacked event where the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will be unveiled, the European pricing of these models has leaked, with a significant increase compared to the previous generation.

The prices of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are said to be soaring in Europe

It was the Dutch site NieuweMobiel that spotted the product sheets of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 on an Italian sales site. According to this information, the 256 GB version of the Fold 7 would be sold at 2227 euros (compared to 2002.05 euros for the Fold 6), while the Flip 7 in 512 GB version would reach 1425 euros (compared to 1322.05 euros for the Flip 6). This represents an increase of approximately 200 euros for the Fold and 100 euros for the Flip, compared to last year's models.

As prices are generally aligned in the European Union, French consumers can therefore expect similar prices. This increase could be explained in particular by higher production costs or the integration of new components.

And elsewhere?

For now, this increase seems limited to the European market. In the United States, several leaks indicate that prices will remain unchanged: $1,899 for the Fold and $1,099 for the Flip. This status quo could be explained by Samsung's desire to remain competitive with Apple and Chinese brands in the North American market.

However, we will have to wait until the Unpacked event, scheduled for July 9 in New York, to find out for sure. That's when Samsung will officially confirm the specifications, availability, and prices of its new folding models. European fans may have to increase their budgets…
