Gran Turismo 7 Announces New Update with Free Content

Gran Turismo 7 remains a real hit, and each new update is eagerly awaited by the community. Especially because it's often an opportunity to get new vehicles for free to expand your collection.

A new update is coming to Gran Turismo 7

Good news for fans of Gran Turismo 7: a new update is coming next week. The announcement comes straight from Kazunori Yamauchi himself, the iconic creator of the series, who confirmed it in a tweet that was as simple as it was effective: “Update coming next week.”

As is often the case, Yamauchi remains true to his style: no specific details, just the essentials. And yet, this kind of message is enough to revive the community's enthusiasm. Because each update of Gran Turismo 7 rhymes with new cars, unreleased content and sometimes welcome little surprises. Moreover, in the tweet, we find an image showing the silhouette of several cars. And as always, some clever people have already managed to identify them.

New cars

This time, speculation seems to be converging for Gran Turismo 7. The three upcoming vehicles are said to be entirely from European manufacturers, which would be a first for GT7 updates. And even more surprising: all three would belong to the same automotive group, Stellantis. According to initial analyses, Gran Turismo 7 would feature: The Peugeot 2008, a small urban SUV well-known in Europe. This would be the current generation (pre-facelift) combustion or electric model, probably in its 1.2 PureTech or e-2008 version. The Citroën BX, an 80s icon by Bertone, famous for its hydropneumatic suspension. The model depicted appears to be a classic hatchback version, probably a Phase II. The Lancia Delta HF Integrale, a rally legend, winner of six consecutive WRC manufacturers' titles. A choice addition for Gr.B fans, even if the car historically comes from Group A.

A trio as unexpected as it is welcome, mixing modernity, nostalgia and sportiness. The GT7 update could be available between Thursday 26 and Friday 27 June, if we rely on the usual pace of previous additions.
