Here we are, halfway through 2025, a year driven by both huge video game releases, like DOOM: The Dark Ages and Elden Ring: Nightreign last May, but also profound changes within the industry, both good and bad. This June promises to be particularly important for the media, notably with the arrival of the Nintendo Switch 2, but also Summer Game Fest 2025, replacing the late E3. Before discovering what the video games of tomorrow will be made of, let's take stock of the games coming this month.
A June 2025 video game month taken by storm by Nintendo, but not only
Among the many video game releases to watch out for in June 2025, that of the Nintendo Switch 2 starting June 5th in our country is undoubtedly the most major, in many ways, the arrival of a new Nintendo console being definitely a major event. To do things right, the beast will arrive with the nice tally of more than 20 games to accompany its launch, including a certain Mario Kart World.
In addition to this major release, other bold video game releases will arrive on the same day. Among them, the highly anticipated Dune Awakening, the survival/MMO game from the developers of Conan Exiles, on PC in early access on June 5th, for a definitive release on June 10th. Other notable releases include Pro Cycling Manager 25 and Tour de France 2025. Speaking of June 10th, a certain MindsEye by one of the creators of GTA will arrive that day on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
The next day, Stellar Blade will finally get its long-awaited PC port. The day after that, we're also keeping an eye on Wizard of Legend 2, the sequel to an excellent indie rogue-lite, coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. On June 13th, we're eagerly awaiting The Alters, by the developers of Frostpunk. Finally, the second third of June 2025 will see the release of three other indie games we're keeping a close eye on: Lost in Random: Eternal Die, a promising rogue-lite; Date Everything and Rematch, by the French studio behind SIFU.
The last third of June has the best for last in terms of video game releases, with no fewer than three highly anticipated games on June 26: Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, the new game from the inimitable Hideo Kojima, exclusively on PS5; Against the Storm, a strategy/management game that looks very promising on all platforms, and finally Persona 5: The Phantom X on PC.
