MindsEye's launch may not have gone as planned for Build a Rocket Boy, but one thing is certain: the studio is now putting its foot down to try to improve the situation as quickly as possible. Indeed, while the GTA-like game continues to face scathing criticism from both the press and players, the developers are rolling out updates, in line with their action plan shared last week. Yesterday, MindsEye received its second patch with its batch of fixes.
A new update for MindsEye
"This patch is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the overall gaming experience by urgently identifying and resolving issues with the game," Build a Rocket Boy said as a preamble on X. As for the changes it brings, here are the full details as shared by the studio:

- Continued performance improvements related to CPU, GPU, and memory usage.
- Fixed collision issues with AI vehicles.
- Fixed some issues that caused the game to crash.
- Fixed the situation where players could get a mission failure during the "Doxxed" quest cutscene.
- The Red Sky car can no longer be destroyed during a cutscene.
- The Buggy's springs now contract properly, and the tires spin when driving with Motion Blur disabled in MindsEye.
- Removed an invisible collider that blocked progression in the "A New Companion" mission.
- Fixed an issue with the vehicle disappearing at the "A New Companion" mission objective.
- Fixed an issue with the DPR and Delta.45 weapons attaching to each other.
- Fixed the overly bright effect that appeared on sparks from damaged drones.
- Fixed NPCs holding their weapons at a 90-degree angle.
- Fixed visual distortions of some male character models when hit by vehicles.
PC Version
- Build.MindsEye: The editor's camera can now pass through the map and static props.
- Added an alert for AMD CPU users who have not updated their version of Windows with performance improvements.
Now available
Note that the update in question can then range from 1.6 GB on PS5 to 5.4 GB for the PC version. "We will continue to release regular updates and work closely with the community to improve the [MindsEye] experience," Build a Rocket Boy finally concludes. "We are committed to doing everything in our power to address your feedback." Let's also remember that a third patch has already been announced for the end of the month.
