N26 goes into travel mode with its new Go service

No more N26 You, hello N26 Go! The German neobank has just revamped its premium subscription to better reflect the habits of its customers who have rediscovered a taste for travel. A transformation that comes at the perfect time as summer approaches and Europeans place vacations at the top of their financial priorities.

Lounges for everyone

Jérémie Rosselli, head of N26 France and Benelux, has the numbers in mind: "On average each month, 5% of our customers' transactions are made internationally. This figure doubles in the summer and approaches 10%." It's no surprise, then, that the bank is focusing everything on the travel niche.

Good news: N26 Go is keeping the same price as its predecessor, €9.90 per month. But the content is significantly expanded. No more hidden fees abroad: free payments worldwide and unlimited withdrawals with no commission. Integrated travel insurance covers the classic traveler hassles: delays, cancellations, lost or damaged baggage, and even medical emergencies abroad.

The famous "Spaces," these small virtual pots that customers can use to organize their budget, have increased from 5 to 10. Practical for separating the restaurant budget from the shopping budget during the holidays, or even creating a shared pot for a group trip.

N26's big move is opening access to airport lounges to all its customers. More than 1,300 lounges worldwide are now accessible with a simple click in the app, with a price scale spread out according to subscriptions.

Standard and Smart customers pay €33 for access. Those who switch to Go pay €15 for their first visit. As for N26 Metal holders, they get a free entry, then pay €30 for subsequent visits. Rates that the bank presents as "ultra-competitive" in Europe.

N26 has also beefed up its travel partnerships. Avis, EasyJet, FlixBus, Lastminute.com, Rentcars.com, Tiqets… The list of brands offering discounts to customers is growing. Enough to shave a few euros off bookings.

The transition to N26 Go will be automatic for current You subscribers in the coming days. To attract more customers, the bank is even offering a €100 cashback bonus for any travel purchase of €750, valid for new signups before June 15.
