Nintendo unveils its Switch 2 (playable) games for Japan Expo 2025

The geek and pop culture event every summer in France? It's Japan Expo. The next edition of this show (which is one of the biggest shows in France every year) will be held from July 3 to 6, again at the Parc des Expositions in Villepinte.

As always, Japan Expo will be the perfect time to celebrate Japan and its culture, from manga to martial arts, from video games to Japanese folklore, from J-music to traditional music.

On the video game side, Nintendo will be there to offer you the chance to discover the new Switch2 and test its first games. Here's the program!

In two weeks, the new edition of Japan Expo will open its doors. In addition to showcasing all of Japanese culture, the show allows you to discover a space dedicated to video games, with some very beautiful booths. Nintendo will be there this year and will offer you the chance to play the new Nintendo Switch 2 and discover the console's first hits, with almost all games that haven't been released yet!

In fact, Nintendo has opted for a preview and will offer on its stand four games not yet available on the market. There is one notable absence: Mario Kart World.

List of games playable on Nintendo Switch 2 at Japan Expo:

  • Drag x Drive (available since June 5, 2025)
  • Donkey Kong Bananza (available July 21, 2025)
  • Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV (available July 24, 2025)
  • Kirby and the Forgotten Worlds + The Land of Shooting Stars (available August 28, 2025)
  • Metroid Prime 4 Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (available in 2025)

It should be noted, however, that of the five games offered, two have already been available for quite some time on Switch 1 (Kirby and Mario Party). You will be able to discover the Switch 2 version of these games with, we hope, a preview of the new content.
