The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card was originally scheduled for release later this summer, but the brand has reportedly decided to accelerate the schedule. According to the manufacturer's website, the launch is now officially set for mid-July. The exact release date will likely be announced later.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050's specs and low price make this graphics card a very mainstream option. It should particularly appeal to gamers who want the latest games without breaking the bank. Designed for 1080p, it will allow you to play current AAA titles at high settings, or even ultra, while maintaining a smooth experience. It won't be the card for heavy streamers or 144Hz addicts, but for immersive solo or accessible multiplayer, it ticks a lot of boxes.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 is the ideal graphics card for Full HD gaming

Its main asset remains the number of cutting-edge technologies it provides access to for less than €300. We'll of course have to wait for independent benchmarks to confirm this. But we know from fairly reliable rumors that we can expect performance close to that of the previous-generation GeForce RTX 4060. With, despite a lower price, ray tracing and improved Nvidia technologies like DLSS 4.0.

The 8 GB of GDDR6 memory will be enough for the majority of recent AAA titles, even if the durability of the upgrade must be considered, as video games tend to require more and more graphics RAM. The consumption, estimated between 100 and 130 W, still makes it very interesting, beyond that, for compact PCs or for users who want to boost their graphics rendering without having to change other elements like the power supply or the motherboard.

Price-wise, the recommended retail price is $249. Knowing that the term “recommended” will really take on its full meaning at the release. This is precisely where everything will come down to: if Nvidia maintains such an attractive price in stores, the GeForce RTX 5050 could well be a hit. But there isn't much room for maneuver in this more competitive segment. With this model, Nvidia completes its new range of GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards equipped with Blackwell GPUs. As you can see, the option was highly anticipated, especially in a context where mid-range options have become scarce in recent months.
