Philips Hue presents its new wall projector for your movie and gaming evenings

Philips Hue adds a new benchmark to its connected lighting range with the Play Wall Washer, a wall projector designed to offer lighting effects that spread even further across your walls. Philips is also taking the opportunity to announce the deployment of its AI assistant in more countries.

"Play Wall Washer", the new Philips entertainment-oriented wall lighting

The Philips Hue Play Wall Washer is a wall projector capable of diffusing light gradients over a wide area. It uses proprietary ColorCast technology, which allows you to create lighting effects synchronized with movies, games, or music.

The device can be installed at different distances from the wall to adjust the projection surface. When not used in synchronized mode, it obviously diffuses ambient light more appropriate to what you are watching. Available in black or white and designed in aluminum, the Play Wall Washer intends to adapt to all types of interior, but not necessarily to all budgets. Available at €199 per unit in our country and €349 in a pack of two, Philips Hue remains true to its rather "premium" pricing policy for lighting.

The AI assistant for generating personalized scenes is coming to more countries

At the same time, Philips Hue is gradually rolling out its assistant based on artificial intelligence. It is now available in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, with global availability by the end of August.

The assistant works via voice or written commands, analyzing indications such as the mood or occasion described by the user. It then suggests an existing light scene, or generates a new one if none matches. More features are coming in the coming months, including schedule creation, automation, and the addition of built-in support for the Philips Hue app.
