Last December, SEGA carried out a massive delisting of many legendary games from its catalog. History is repeating itself again in June 2025, this time targeting mobile platforms. Thus, several cult titles from the Japanese giant are currently available for free on Android and iOS devices, but you won't have to wait to take advantage of them.
Last chance to get cult SEGA games for free on mobile
Without warning or any prior official announcement, SEGA has revealed that support for nine cult titles from its retro game catalog will soon end in their mobile iterations. This took the form of a recent update, with an unequivocal message accompanying the launch of the said games: "Support for this game will soon end, but you can continue to play it offline!." This unfortunately falls within a maneuver by the Japanese giant that had brought many of its biggest hits to mobile via the SEGA Forever program, which however ended at the end of 2023.
So, while SEGA has not specified a precise date for this end of support for the nine targeted games, and therefore their removal from mobile stores, they are currently recoverable for free on Android and iOS, what's more in a version without in-app purchases. It is therefore still possible to download them on compatible smartphones and tablets, in order to keep them for life. If by chance they interest you, don't wait too long to add these SEGA monuments to your account. Here are the nine games in question, and the links to the respective Android and iOS app stores to download them for free:
