Ubisoft's catalog isn't short on licenses that have marked the history of video games. However, it seems that the publisher is determined to revive more than one in the near future! Between the upcoming Rayman and the announcements of remakes, fans of the studio should have plenty to do. Especially since among the current projects, the upcoming Splinter Cell Remake is making headlines again, and in a rather complimentary way, as you'll see.
Splinter Cell Remake shouldn't disappoint you
Just last week, Ubisoft shared an image of Splinter Cell on its social networks. Not one from the remake, of course, but from the original game. With one week to go before the big Summer Game Fest conference, some are wondering if this isn't just a teaser... Will we finally get some footage next weekend? Fingers crossed!
But some have already gotten a sneak peek at this Splinter Cell Remake. That's what our Insider Gaming colleague Tom Henderson is suggesting. Reacting to Ubisoft's post, he points out that he's already seen what the game looks like. What's more, he's already very encouraging:
The remake looks really impressive from what I've seen. I hope we hear about it as soon as possible!

It should be noted in passing that the journalist hopes to have news of Splinter Cell Remake "as soon as possible." Could this also be a nudge towards Summer Game Fest 2025? However, it was he himself who recently suggested that the project would probably not be released before 2026, at the earliest.
Given the positive feedback received by Assassin's Creed Shadows, which was postponed twice to give itself more favorable development time, Ubisoft seems determined to give itself longer productions in order to better satisfy the public. As such, Splinter Cell Remake should take the time it needs to refine its copy.
