This week's big event (in addition to the release of the Nintendo Switch 2) is the launch of the first act of Summer Game Fest. Throughout the week, we'll be treated to conferences to reveal the future of video games. Tonight, starting at 11 p.m., PlayStation will unveil 40 minutes of announcements and surprises! To make sure you don't miss anything from the event, here's our recap article of all the PlayStation announcements from June 4, 2025.
Where to follow the State of Play?
As always, PlayStation invites you to join us on YouTube or on Twitchstarting at 11 p.m. to follow its new State of Play. This edition will be an opportunity to discover a 40-minute show dedicated to future PS5 games from studios around the world (and not necessarily PlayStation Studios).
What to expect from the State of Play?
For the moment, Sony has not revealed anything and has not given any information regarding its presentation. It is not known if PlayStation Studios will be in the spotlight or if this edition will be dedicated to third-party publishers. On the other hand, as always before this kind of event, the first rumors are circulating, including:
- The announcement of Resident Evil 9
- The announcement of a God of War spin-off
- A new preview of Ghost of Yotei
- A new preview of Death Stranding 2

The State of Play for June 4, 2025 minute by minute
11 p.m. – The evening begins with the announcement of Lumines Arise, which will arrive on PS5 with PlayStation VR2 compatibility in the fall of 2025.
11:04 p.m. – The State of Play continues with the new presentation from Pragmata. The game is now scheduled for 2026 on PS5.
11:07 PM – New license with Romeo is Dead Man, expected in 2026 on PS5. A new zombie game that clearly reminds us of Dead Rising. The game will immerse us in a totally unpredictable story. This is a new game from the Grasshopper Manufacture studio.
11:10 PM – New presentation of Silent Hill f. We have the right to a new trailer with many gameplay clips that are very convincing. The atmosphere of the game looks truly incredible. The game will arrive on September 25, 2025 on PS5. Pre-orders are open now!
11:14 PM – New presentation of Bloodstained with some gameplay sequences. The game takes place in a captivating world, years before the events of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The title will feature innovative combat mechanics, cinematic storytelling, and challenging boss battles. Still no release date yet.
11:16 PM – A new Digimon game announced with Digimon Story Time Stranger, which will arrive on October 3, 2025. The game is the latest installment in the “Digimon Story” saga. The game will take you on an adventure through the human world and the Digital World, collecting and raising a variety of Digimon for turn-based battles.
11:18 PM – Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles remaster announced and presented. The game will arrive on PS4 and PS5 on September 30, 2025.
11:19 PM – Medley of several announcements of small titles that will arrive on PS5 in the coming months, including a new Everybody’s Golf (September 5), Baby Steps (September 8), Hirogami (September 3), Ninja Gaiden Regebound (July 31), Cairn (November 5, 2025), a Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection compilation (2025).
11:25 PM – Announcement of Project Defiant, a new special controller for fighting games.
11:26 PM – New presentation of Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater. The title is still scheduled for August 28 on PS5. At the end of the presentation, Konami seems to be teasing us about the arrival of a multiplayer mode.
11:28 p.m.– Announcement of Nioh 3. The title is expected in early 2026 on PS5. A demo is available today.
11:30 p.m.– Time for the sequence dedicated to PSVR2 games with the announcement of Thief in VR and the Legacy of Shadow opus. The game will arrive later this year.
11:32 PM– New presentation of Tides of Tomorrow.
11:33 PM– Announcement of new content for Astro Bot. Five new ones will arrive later this month.
11:35 PM– Announcement of Sea and Remants, coming in 2026. It's a free-to-play RPG with a journey theme. Beyond the moon lies another sea, where all the answers await. But to date, no one has proven its existence. Captains will recruit their crews across the magenta ocean currents and explore new routes. Master turn-based combat, build a unique island life, and etch your memories in the endless tides.
11:36 PM– The creators of Journey and Abzu give us a sneak peek at their new game: Swords of the Sea. The game will arrive on August 19th on PS5. The title will be directly integrated into PS Plus games.
11:38 PM– Announcement of several games coming to PS Plus, including a remaster of Deus Ex, Twisted Metal 3 and 4, and the original Resident Evil 3 and 4.
11:40 PM– First look at 007: First Light. The game is expected in 2026.
11:43 PM– The State of Play continues with a very short presentation of Ghost of Yotei with gameplay to be revealed in July.
11:45 PM– Announcement of a Marvel fighting game by PlayStation Studio Arc System Works. It is Tokon Fighting Souls for 2026 on PS5 and PC. We even have the right to a short report directly from Tokyo to find out a little more about the game.
11:54 p.m.– End of the State of Play on June 4, 2025.
