The next State of Play is fast approaching, and as is often the case, rumors are starting to run wild. Officially, PlayStation hasn't said much. But behind the scenes, several leaks suggest that the event could be very busy. What do we know?
A busy State of Play
The first leak comes from Dusk Golem, a well-known insider in the industry. According to him, Bloober Team is working on a narrative DLC called Born from a Wish. Fans of the original Silent Hill 2 will remember it well: this bonus chapter featured Maria, in a story parallel to James's. According to Dusk Golem's information, the content is still in active development. And it should be released before the end of the year. An announcement at this State of Play would therefore be very likely. It would also be a good way for Konami to extend the life of the remake... and keep fans waiting for the sequel.
Another leak, a little more discreet, Gravity Rush Remastered has reportedly been spotted in a PS5 version on the PSPrices site, which monitors online store updates. This port is not official at the moment. But the file would be there, and it clearly mentions a native version for the Sony console. So it could smell good for an announcement for the State of Play. Be careful though, the source is unclear, and the leaker behind the discovery is not the most reliable.
Lots of games on the program?
We had almost forgotten about it… But Pragmata is ready to resurface. Still according to Dusk Golem, the Capcom game should be re-revealed very soon, possibly as early as this State of Play. The project made a big impression when it was announced in 2020, with an intriguing trailer and a science-fiction atmosphere that was both mysterious and poetic. Since then? Nothing, except for postponements and a heavy silence. If Capcom chooses this moment to bring the game back into the spotlight, it would undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the conference.
And finally, a leak that is driving tactical RPG fans crazy. According to eXtas1s, a Spanish insider who is often well-informed, Final Fantasy Tactics is indeed back. Better still, the announcement is planned for this State of Play, with a release sometime in 2025. It would not be a simple remaster, but a true remake, designed for current consoles. And surprise: the game would not be exclusive to PlayStation. It will also be released on Xbox, which would be a first for the franchise.
