The Crew: Are you waiting for the next game? We have good news for you

Released in September 2023, The Crew Motorfest has undeniably met with some success with the public. Considered a potential competitor to Forza Horizon 5 in its approach, this third installment quickly established itself as the best launch in the history of the Ivory Tower franchise, which has since continued to feed the title with additional content throughout the different seasons. Enough to keep players waiting until a possible fourth installment? It seems...

A new The Crew is reportedly in development

In a tweet published over the weekend, Tom Henderson, always very well informed, indeed affirmed that a new episode of The Crew had officially been validated by Ubisoft. And while it still seems too early to have more information about it at the moment, the Insider Gaming journalist nevertheless shared a rather intriguing detail. In response to a user asking him the strange question "The Crew or Motorfest?", the latter simply replied: "Crew".

Knowing that Motorfest is considered a standalone episode, one might wonder about the relevance of such a question. But when we know that this third installment, which is somewhat different from its predecessors, was originally intended to be a DLC for The Crew 2, we could then imagine that this time it would be a real sequel. Unless Ivory Tower decides to go in a completely different direction once again, and a new destination packed with new features is on the agenda after the United States and Hawaii.

A long road awaits us

In any case, we probably won't hear about this future episode of The Crew for a while. Because while we don't know exactly when the project was approved by Ubisoft, there's no doubt that we're currently several years away from its release. Until then, however, we can continue to count on Ivory Tower to supply Motorfest with new content. Not to mention that the second installment, unlike its now-defunct predecessor, should soon receive an offline mode to ensure its longevity.
