Nintendo has revealed a list of 12 games that will receive a free update to run optimally on Switch 2. Check if you own one or more of the titles concerned.
If you've cracked and the delivery goes well, you'll receive your brand new Switch 2 on Thursday, June 5, 2025. At the time of publishing this article, there's only one more day to wait. You've probably already chosen which game you'll jump into first. Perhaps Mario Kart World, which renews the formula of Nintendo's well-known racing game? For those who are leaning more towards the latter option, there is good news for you. You are probably aware that some games from the original Switch will be entitled to a paid update in order to be optimized for the Switch 2. Well, imagine that for 12 of them, it's completely free. You'll be able to download the update for all these games on June 5, 2025. In most cases, it improves graphics with HDR support and high-definition TV screens.
