Can't find love? Feel like you don't know how to approach your loved one? Just in time for summer and flirting on terraces, Tinder will open a dating school to teach eternal singles how to win the heart of their loved one.
Tinder's School of Swipe is coming to Paris
On Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7, at the Atelier Basfroi in Paris, Tinder will open a pop-up school, the School of Swipe, to teach "students" to flirt properly. It will be the first IRL ("In Real Life") dating establishment, "designed to help young singles take stock of their relationships before the summer." And for good reason: according to a study on the evolution of romantic encounters since 1930, dating apps have become predominant in the formation of couples. By 2024, the Internet alone will represent the way 60% of couples meet! And according to a France Inter survey released this year, around 18 million people live alone in France.
There is no shortage of single people in France, and the societal upheavals of the last fifteen years have completely changed the way couples form. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, singles are finding it even more difficult to meet a potential partner: 91% of men and 94% of women believe it has never been more complicated, according to Tinder. To rethink romantic encounters, the dating app has developed a fairly short course (1h30) within its ephemeral school, the proposed activities of which you can discover below.
The School of Swipe, or how to relearn how to meet others and reveal yourself
According to the dating app's press release, this temporary installation will allow singles to relearn romantic encounters through a course made up of immersive experiences. The Supermarket Station will allow you to create your “bio” in real life using symbolic objects representing your passions, your intentions and your personality traits. The Swipe Gym is a sports challenge in which you, as a pair, answer quick questions while running on a treadmill. The goal? Whether you express your romantic expectations or your green and red flags spontaneously. To conclude, the Therapy Class will offer a safe place dedicated to exchange, led by a therapist specializing in romantic relationships. This workshop should allow participants to better understand each other and leave with "keys to more authentic encounters".
If you're interested in this experience, you can participate in the School of Swipe by following Tinder's Instagram account and entering the competition. Winners will have early access to the school on Friday, and the experience will then be open to the public without reservation on Saturday between noon and 4 p.m. It's best to arrive early, as only the first 30 people to arrive will be able to experience the full immersive experience of learning how to flirt.
