On April 14, 1912, while the Titanic, nicknamed the "dream liner," was heading toward New York, it struck an iceberg in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean shortly before midnight. This incident would cause the biggest maritime tragedy of the time, with the ship sinking in the middle of the night. Between 1,490 and 1,520 people would perish in the early morning of April 15, 1912.
In 1997, this tragedy was portrayed by James Cameron in the film Titanic, which won eleven Oscars in 1998, including Best Picture and Best Director. More than 114 years after the tragedy, you will be able to experience the adventure like never before with an escape game that promises to be ultra-realistic.
Titanic Escape Simulator on PlayStation in 2026
Expected for 2026, without further details, Titanic Escape Simulator will be an escape game created using Unreal Engine 5 that will aim to make you relive the night of April 14-15, 1912. You will play as a passenger on the ship who will have to survive the disaster. The game will be only in FPS view (first person) and will ask you to make choices that will all have an impact on your survival, or not.
For the needs of the game, Tetyana Vysochanska's teams have meticulously reconstructed the ship for total immersion. The game will be a race against time where every decision will be important to save you time and escape the boat before the icy waters reach you.
The Tetyana Vysochanska studio promises us a terrifying experience, reproduced with striking precision. From the first moments of panic to the final shipwreck. It will be possible to explore this faithful historical reconstruction, with authentic period details and dynamic environments that evolve as the disaster unfolds.
The title will feature a dynamic flooding system with rising waters that realistically flow through the ship, transforming pathways and creating new obstacles every minute. To escape, you'll have to force blocked doors, clear debris, climb steep corridors, and solve environmental puzzles while preserving your stamina.
The game also incorporates hypothermia mechanics. You'll have to face the deadly cold of the North Atlantic in real time, requiring strategic planning and resource management. The game will offer multiple paths to survival or tragedy, with unique encounters and obstacles in each section of the ship.
In addition to this race against death, the Titanic Escape Simulator game will offer significant historical moments, allowing you to bond with the passengers through real-life historical narratives.
Titanic Escape Simulator is expected in 2026 on PS5. VR compatibility has not yet been confirmed.
